Tecu Copper
TECU CLASSIC
Eternal and fascinating
TECU Classic is copper in its essence. Its classic colour, bright red, characterizes the surface of TECU for some years, after which, due to the meteorological factors, it assumes the typical greenish coloration due to oxidation. This version of the material is the most known and used; with this copper, several buildings of great architectural value were produced, especially in the capitals cities of Northern Europe. The oxidation process gives the roofs and façades a range of iridescent colours that actually makes these surfaces changing and eternal at the same time.
TECU Classic can also be used with a special protective film that can stop the oxidation process for many years, while maintaining the original colour of the copper and protecting the surface from UV rays.

TECU OXID
The pre-oxidised copper
TECU® Oxid is a type of pre-oxidised copper, typically burnished brown-coloured. Once installed, the material continues its oxidation, according to the rules of classical copper: the weather affects copper surface and gives the material intense colours.
Plates and strips of TECU® Oxid are pre-oxidised on both sides with a patented industrial process that is gentle on the material, to quickly obtain the typical brown colour. Far from being artificial, the oxidation layer is obtained in a natural way from the copper itself..

TECU ® Gold is a new alloy of copper-zinc-aluminium for façades covering. The main characteristic of this alloy is its ability to quickly become opaque, assuming a warm and shiny tone, very similar to the one of gold.
The façades coated with TECU® Gold strike for their colours, beautiful and unique. Over the time, the surface undergoes very few changes in colour, preserving its expression without being subjected to any oxidation process.

TECU PATINA
The peculiarities of copper and an amazing color
The plates of TECU Patina are made of copper and designed for roofs and façades covering. Their distinctive feature is the green patina finish, which gives the surface a natural effect, satisfying both functional and aesthetic aspects. It is the key to the new architectural and structural requirements: an example of absolute prestige is the church dedicated to Padre Pio and designed by Renzo Piano. The plates of TECU Patina are produced according to requirements set by regulatory specifications and company guidelines in production quality of KME.

TECU BRONZE
The colour of elegance
Thanks to this variety of TECU, you can use bronze, an alloy composed of a large percentage of copper and very little tin, all along used for sculptures and artworks, in architecture. It is synonymous with artworks made with metal. The red-brown colour of TECU® Bronze changes in a very extraordinary way under the action of atmospheric agents. At first, the oxidation gives a reddish surface, with shades between brown and gray. Later, the colour changes very slowly, coming to take charcoal shades. Finally, it forms the classic patina layer of copper, although in a much longer time than the natural copper.

TECU BRASS
For contemporary and significant interventions
TECU® Brass comes from a special blend of copper and zinc, with a reddish-gold start that get changing by weather, with shades of green and brown. In a second phase, you will see the material assuming a brown colour which, over the time, turns to a dark grey. On sloping surfaces, however the time forms the classic patina layer, characteristic of copper.

TECU ZINN
A unique colour
It is a grey area and semi-matt, perfect to match with most building materials. The combination of copper and tin combines the exceptional properties of two materials: the duration of copper is completed by the metallic surface, which not only gives a unique shade to the material, but it protects too.
To obtain the Tecu Zinn, the copper strips are specially tinned and surface-treated on both sides, the resulting surface tends gradually to an opaque color when exposed to weathering. This process accelerates in the seaside and its effects are very specific, with streaks ranging from white to green.
